First off, I am a Navy ‘brat’ by birth and was blessed to have an exciting childhood that took us from port to port – to include being born in Hollywood, California and spending a good portion of my younger years in Hawaii. Attending more than 10 primary schools made me very outgoing so I could always make new friends easily – a trait that I now am proud to have developed!
I began by career as a teacher, having taught physical education for a few years before selling Real Estate in Virginia and North Carolina. Here I found a real love for meeting and helping others!
My family moved to Decatur more than 40 years ago – and what a blessing! I have really found my home here in Decatur and have enjoyed being an active member in this community and the North Alabama area. I have sold real estate now for 35 years – taking a break only to open my own store in the 80s, “Patti’s Plants & Gifts” and cater to two of my other loves decorating and gardening!
Real Estate is a PRIORITY in my life – this is not a part-time business for me. My team and I are actively working the real estate market daily. You can reach me anytime from 7 am – 10 pm.
Patti’s Team has had great success over the years! Most recently I was named 2015 REALTOR of the year by both the local board of realtors and the State association. Our team has placed in the Top 10 RE/MAX Dixie region production for the last 20+ years and has been the top local team for many years as well. In 2009 our team was awarded the #1 RE/MAX Dixie Team for the highest number of successfully closed real estate transactions! In 1996 I was also honored with being the #1 RE/MAX Agent in the State. We love what we do – and it shows!
I also serve locally, being a previous president and current officer on several boards with the Morgan County Association of REALTORs.
I have a passion for my family – spending time and trying to keep up with my 9 grands! I have also had the honor to have headed up a statewide effort to find support for the ailing Alabama PACT (Prepaid Affordable College Tuition) program – for which 6 of my 9 grand will use upon college entrance. I have also had the honor of being named to the PACT Board of Directors by Governor Riley and have received the Paul Harris Fellow Award from Rotary International for my work on the PACT program.
Athletics proves to still be an important part of my life through my children and grands. Having coached Dixie Girls Fast Pitch Softball for 17 years both locally and on an All Start team I enjoyed working with the youth here in Decatur – I still enjoying seeing members of my former teams out in the community and now on the college level as well.
Thank you for your time and I hope to get to know you and have the opportunity to serve you – it would be my pleasure! Please feel free to contact me directly at (256) 227-9180 or firstname.lastname@example.org
